Kid’s Adventure Day Recap

We want to thank all of you that come out, helped, and support our Kid’s Adventure Day.  We had 43 kids and over 60 adults attend Saturday, and 32 kids with 50+ adults come out on Sunday.  Lots of fish were caught, new skills were developed, and fun was had by all!

We’d like to take a moment to recognize one of our top-notch volunteers.  Mr. Dean Choate has been working with us for 20 years, diligently attending and enthusiastically helping at our Kid’s Adventure Days.  Board Member Art Ludwick presented Mr. Choate with a plaque recognizing all his years of dedication to our club. Thank you Mr. Choate!  We appreciate all your efforts!

In a Kid’s Adventure Day first, we had a second generation family attend. Joe Morano brought his daughter to Kids Adventure Day in 1999, and this year daughter Stephanie brought her son MJ.  Morano family, we are so happy to welcome you back!  It warmed the hearts of all of us on the board to hear you are carrying on this tradition with MJ.  You are a prime example of why we do this.  We thank you for your support.

This year, we gave a way large stuffed fish to a lucky winner each day.

We’d also like to thank the Loomis Family and Fort Hope for hosting us again this year.  Along with fishing, the kids got to enjoy a petting zoo, gold panning, BB gun shooting, and archery.  Hot dogs for lunch and Doc Burnstein’s ice cream for dessert – the day does not disappoint!
