2018 January 1 - Start date for requirement that ammunition sales or transfers be conducted through a licensed ammunition dealer.  Ammo purchased outside of California must first be shipped to a licensed dealer for pickup. July 1 - Start date for requirement that you get state permission before manufacturing or assembling a firearm. December 31 - Deadline to place a serial number on any unmarked firearm possessed after July 1, 2018. 2019 January 1 - Start date for requirement that handguns be stored in a locked container or locked trunk when left in an unattended vehicle. Assembly Bill 3199

Introduced by Assembly member Chris Holden on February 16, 2018, AB 3199 would prohibit certain charitable organizations from raffling off firearms. Full text of the bill can be accessed here. The bill has been read twice, passed in the assembly to the Government Organizations committee on March 21, 2018.  It is still active in the Assembly and will move through to the Senate before final approval.  It will then move on to our Governor to either sign or veto. There are a number of bills in the California Legislature that can impact our second amendment rights.  We recommend contacting your representatives and encouraging them to oppose/support the following bills: OPPOSE Assembly Bill 3- Would raise the age to purchase firearms and ammunition to 21.  (Passed the Assembly and referred to the Senate Public Safety Committee) Assembly Bill 1927 - Allows a person in California to voluntarily add his or her name to the California Do Not Sell List through an internet based platform. Assembly Bill 2103 - Adds certain requirements to already mandated training courses for individuals who obtain a concealed carry license. Senate Bill 1346 - Expands current prohibition on multi burst triggers to include bump stocks. SUPPORT Assembly Bill 986 - Would reduce hunting license fees for veterans. Assembly Bill…

Applications are here for the Kid's Adventure Day - May 19th or May 20th.  Download here. Children between the ages of 8 and 16 may participate, but they must be accompanied by an adult.  Space is limited t0 40 kids per day, so please get your applications in by May 11, 2018. We love our furry friends, but please do not bring your dog.  However, you should bring: sunscreen, water, and a hat.
